Meningitis B (MenB) Vaccination Service

The NHS Meningitis B (MenB) Vaccination Service will be live from 20th July 2026, allowing community pharmacies to deliver a nationally commissioned vaccination programme ahead of the 2026/27 academic year.

This Advanced Service has been introduced to rapidly increase protection against MenB in higher-risk young people, following recent increases in cases and outbreaks in England.

Who is eligible?

The service is targeted at young people at increased risk of MenB, specifically: • Year 13 students (born between 1 September 2007 and 31 August 2008) • Individuals under 25 years old entering university or residential further education for the first time • International students under 25 starting their first year in the UK

HOW TO BOOK

Please visit: Book a MenB vaccination appointment - NHS to book your appointment.

Please note: Eligible patients should receive a two-dose course of MenB vaccine, with doses given at least 28 days apart. We will book your 2nd appointment with you when you when you attend for your first vaccination.
